Adam Kasix: Turning Frustration into Freedom
Meeting Adam
“Sure thing,” I said to my writing coach Bridget Cook-Birch. “I’d be happy to meet Adam at the airport and give him a ride up to our writers retreat.” “What’s his name again?” I asked. “His name is Adam Kasix.” said Bridget, “that’s K.A.S.I.X.” “Okay, I got it. I’ll see you soon.”And with that, my life changed for the better.
In a world where the journey of life often leads us through many lackluster experiences, there are rare moments when good things just happen, when people’s paths converge with dazzling brilliance. That’s what it’s like to meet Adam Kasix.
Becoming Friends
It’s a two hour car ride to the writer’s retreat. In the car we have three amazing people. Adam Kasix; a patriotic, rehabilitated, high-energy podcaster, speaker and coach. Cody B Loveland; a PhD, motivational TedX speaker, C-suite executive coach, bigger than life personality and my friend for 25 years. And of course me, Doug Richens.
As we traveled the conversations flowed between stories of our family, love of baseball and the principles that govern our lives. In that Cody and I have shared decades of friendship, we both focused on getting to know Adam.
The Path to Success
Adam Kasix’s journey to success is a testament to the power of the human spirit. As the biblical writer Isaiah once proclaimed, “Joy cometh in the morning.” For Adam Kasix, this sentiment echoes the essence of his journey. Through the darkest nights of his soul, he found solace in the belief that every dawn brings with it the promise of a new beginning, a fresh opportunity to embrace life’s challenges and triumph over adversity.
As a podcaster, Adam’s kindness, eloquence and passion propelled him into the realm of public speaking, where he captivated audiences with his profound insights and transformative messages. His transition into coaching and entrepreneurship further solidified his position as a leading figure in the world of personal development. Today, working with Adam is simply a delight.
Real Growth
Adam’s past is marked by battles with addiction, hardships that seemed insurmountable and losses that threatened to consume him. Through the depths of his struggles, he discovered the strength to persevere, to rise above the darkness that threatened to engulf him.
To quote Adam, “I know what it feels like to have a deep sense of something I’m supposed to do or a life I’m supposed to be living that doesn’t match up to my current experience.”
His guiding star has been the call to love his family and serve all those around him. His story serves as a reminder that even in our darkest moments, there is a glimmer of hope that can guide us towards the light.
Embracing Life’s Lessons
Learning life’s lessons often comes at a cost, and Adam Kasix knows this all too well. His experiences have shaped him into a sage advisor, offering guidance to those who find themselves at the crossroads of uncertainty. His understanding that our choices define our journey underscores his teachings, encouraging others to embrace their own power to shape their destinies.
Again, in Adam’s own words,“I believed long enough and hard enough that God wanted a beautiful lifestyle for my family, despite my shortcomings. But it took unlearning some old things, and learning some new things.”
The Power of Hope and Optimism
Adam’s unwavering optimism and hope are the cornerstones of his philosophy. He believes that no matter how daunting the obstacles may seem, there is always a reason to hold onto hope. His infectious energy and boundless optimism have become a source of inspiration for many.
Adam’s Mindset
- Embrace Change as an Opportunity for Growth: Change is a constant in life and in business. Instead of fearing or resisting it, view change as an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Recognize that adapting to new circumstances and challenges can lead to innovation, learning, and progress.
- The Power of Choice: Your choices shape your life and your business. Take ownership of your decisions, both big and small, and recognize that you have the power to choose how you respond to any situation. Make choices that align with your values, goals, and vision. Remember that even in challenging times, the choice to maintain a positive attitude and perseverance can lead to success.
- Find Joy in the Present Moment: Happiness and joy are not only goals for the future; they can be found in the present moment. Practice mindfulness, gratitude and appreciate the beauty and opportunities that surround you every day.
- Thrive in Business Through Adaptability: In the business world, adaptability is key to thriving. Markets change, technologies evolve, and customer preferences shift. Successful businesses stay ahead by being adaptable and open to new strategies. Embrace innovation, stay informed about industry trends, and be willing to pivot when necessary. Remember the adage: “It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”
- Continuous Learning and Self-Improvement: Invest in yourself! Thriving in business and life requires a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement. Seek out new knowledge, skills and stay curious. Understand that learning is a lifelong journey, and your ability to adapt and evolve depends on your willingness to grow.
